Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Pivot AM Auctions?

We are Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing veterans that have been in the industry since 1988. Our background is the service and selling of all types of AM equipment. With the AM industry getting larger and more used equipment hitting the market, we realized a need for an intelligent, centralized trading spot so buyers can see all the options available to add capacity to their operations.

What equipment can be listed?

This site is strictly for Industrial, Production, and Professional 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing Equipment. We will not accept listings for desktop or hobby systems. Additive technologies only please, no subtractive technologies.

What are the listing fees?

The seller or lister of the equipment pays a $250 listing fee directly to Pivot AM Auctions.

How does the seller get started?

The seller contacts us at sell@pivotamauctions.com. From that initial contact, we will work with the seller to get the correct photos and accurate information regarding the machine. This allows us to create an accurate, professional listing of your equipment which differentiates us from other auction sites that will improperly list features of your equipment. The seller determines the listing price and a reserve if desired. Pivot can provide consultation on recommended listing price and market conditions.

Is there a buyer’s premium?

The buyer of the equipment pays a commission of 8% on top of the purchase price. Pivot adds this to the final invoice to the buyer. All monies are collected by Pivot and Pivot pays the seller the price sold at auction.

Where do the auction machines reside?

The equipment resides with the seller until time of sale. Pivot can arrange the de-install, crating, transport if needed.

Is financing available for the purchasing of equipment?

Pivot works with a few financing entities and can arrange financing to eligible buyers and equipment per financier discretion.
